Commitment and creativity also mark participation in Brazil

Latin America

Organisation: Archdiocese / Diocese

From all over the world we receive beautiful, well-prepared and very interesting content with explanations of what a synod is. The diocese of Xingu-Altamira in the state of Pará (Brazil) is one of many examples.

The diocese has created a website specifically for the Synod of Bishops 2021-2023, says Dorismeire Vasconcelos, of the secretariat of the Diocese of Xingu-Altamira. This tool aims to “inform, form and be a space for the participation of all the people of God of Xingu in the process of synodal listening in the diocesan phase of the diocese”.

It is another experience of dynamism in the promotion of the synodal path, in this case, with the aim of “creating more and more spaces where everyone can participate in this time of kairos”.

The site features videos, aids, a three-session webinar on Synod 2021-2023 and a module inviting everyone to participate in synodal listening.

For our part, we loved a particular video that we share here that was produced by the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil and is shared on other websites.
