Knock Shrine, Ireland’s International Eucharistic and Marian Shrine, organizes a day of prayer in Ireland placing the work of the Synod under the protection of Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.
Mary, the Mother of God, is always with us on the synodal path, for she is also ‘Mother of the Church’ (Mater Ecclesiae); mother of all those who are companions and disciples of her Son.
The programme for the day of prayer includes a Prayer Service in the Apparition Chapel at Knock Shrine with petitions to Our Lady for both the Synodal Pathway of the Catholic Church in Ireland and the Universal Synod.
The prayer service will be followed by a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Francis Duffy, Archbishop of Tuam, in the Basilica of Our Lady, Queen of Ireland.
An open invitation is being extended to all to join by livestream from Knock Shrine Ireland at www.knockshrine.ie
