The CEBITEPAL THEOLOGICAL CENTER of (CELAM) in collaboration with the Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB), is organising a Master's Degree in Theology with a focus on Synodal Pastoral Ministry.

Building on their ecclesiastical graduate program of the Canonical Licentiate in Theology with a focus on Synodal Pastoral Ministry, designed to respond to the current challenges of the Church and to promote an increasingly synodal Latin American and Caribbean Church, CEBITAL offers to lay women and men who are professionals in various fields of the social and human sciences, without prior theological training, to enroll in this new Master's Degree.

What does this Master's Degree offer?

A solid and rigorous formation that integrates:

  • Theological and pastoral foundations
  • Analysis of the Latin American and global context
  • Methodological and academic tools
  • Development of collaborative leadership skills

All of this is aimed at forming pastoral agents capable of animating ecclesial communities and structures in a synodal key.

Format and Duration

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Format: Hybrid (in-person + online)
  • In-person stage: CELAM Headquarters – Bogotá, Colombia

In-person month: From May 11 to June 5. All other activities will be conducted online through the CEBITEPAL platform.
