The presidents and general secretaries of the bishops' conferences of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and France met at the CEF headquarters in Paris on 30 and 31 January for their annual meeting. During the meeting they touched on the theme of synodality, in particular the question of the role of national bishops' conferences in the dynamics of synodality, relations with the Vatican and the renewed place of the laity within ecclesial governance.
