Format: Texts & Image
Type: Formation material, Handbook & Toolkits
Organisation: Informal Organisation

Today me make the promotion of this Handbook for those who need inspiration to revitalise in a synodal way their parish.

Listening. Discernment. Mission.
These three words capture the heart of the Church’s renewal in the spirit of synodality — a journey of faith, dialogue, and shared responsibility.

This handbook is a comprehensive and practical guide for priests, parish councils, and lay leaders seeking to renew their parishes from within. Rooted in the teachings of Pope Francis and the Magisterium of the Church, it translates the principles of synodality — walking together, listening to the Holy Spirit, and discerning God’s will — into concrete pastoral practice.

Through theological reflection, pastoral insight, and practical tools, the authors show how every parish can become a community of communion, participation, and mission. Structured in three parts — theological foundations, implementation in the parish, and practical resources — this book offers a clear path for introducing the synodal process into daily parish life.

You will learn how to:

  • Foster authentic listening and dialogue within parish communities.
  • Engage clergy and laity together in shared discernment.
  • Transform parish structures to become missionary and participatory.
  • Use proven tools for meetings, reflection, and communal decision-making.

While the initiative is rooted in the particular pastoral and cultural situation of the Church in Poland, many of the proposed methods and exercises are intentionally simple and adaptable. Some of the authors work at the Institute of Statistics of the Catholic Church (ISKK),

Ideal for:
Pastors, parish councils, lay leaders, theologians, and all who seek a practical roadmap for implementing synodality and renewing the life of the Church at the local level.
