Malta – Ta’ Pinu Shrine joins the Marian Prayer for the Synod

The Maltese Episcopal Conference confirms that the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary in the diocese of Gozo will hold a mass with special prayers for the synod.

Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary in the diocese of Gozo has been chosen by the Maltese Episcopal Conference as the shrine where the faithful will gather to pray for for the XVI General Ordinary Assembly of the synod of Bishops.

Before the marian prayer, Bishop Anton Teuma will preside the Holy Mass.

Pope Francis visited Ta’ Pinu as part of his pilgrimage to Malta on April 2, 2020 and it is a very dear place for the Maltese, as well as for Card. Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod who confesses: “”I also lived at the feet of Mary of Ta’ Pinu, so I placed my ministry under her protection.” (https://www.vaticannews.va/es/vaticano/news/2023-05/grech-rosario-san-pedro-maria-luz-iglesia-camino.html)

The mass will be live broadcasted on the national TV station and livestreamed (youtube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfrEhXIykNU&list=PLbHxpLLyeKjfjtWx9wAk9gAw3vct5nj8C&index=25
