On April 4, the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University (JST-SCU) hosted an international gathering focused on making the Catholic Church a more listening, open, and “synodal” body. The event was the first major U.S. gathering to feature the Pope’s secretary general of the general secretariat of the synod, Cardinal Mario Grech, since the three-year-long “Synod on Synodality,” culminated last October.
