Africa
Format: Texts & Image
Type: Communication, Formation material, Synod Events
Organisation: Archdiocese / Diocese

On Thursday, February 06, 2025, the Plateau-Médina deanery held its monthly meeting at Sainte-Anne de Bel-Air parish. Sister Anne-Béatrice, partecipant of the 16 General Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops , spoke to the participants about receiving the final document of the synod on synodality.

During the sessions Drawing on the central question guiding the synod sessions, namely how we are Church-in-the-making from the diversity of our gifts (Cf. 1 Cor 12:4-6), Sister Anne-Béatrice invited the audience to rediscover the graces of baptism. The meeting was attended by three (03) pastors from the Église Protestante du Sénégal (EPS).

It was an occasion to present also Les Cahiers de l’ESD, a bimonthly bulletin from the School of Synodality of Dakar to accompany the reception of the Final Document of the synod on synodality in its three dimensions: lived experience, documents produced and concrete implementation.

Each issue will feature a variety of contributions: in-depth articles, real-life experiences, dialogues between different traditions and ecclesial voices. The editorial board, made up of women, young people, Muslims, priests, bishops, theologians, researchers and committed practitioners, will ensure the quality and relevance of the content. Particular attention will be paid to the voices of the marginalized (the excluded, the handicapped, people living in precarious situations, etc.).

This newsletter is a tool for all those who want to immerse themselves in the experience of synodality and contribute to the Church’s mission.
