Bosnia and Herzegovina – All dioceses engaged with the Marian Prayer for the Synod

Archbishop of Sarajevo and apostolic administrator of the Military Ordinariate in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Msgr. Tomo Vukšić, has established May 27, 2023 to be a day of prayer in the Archdiocese of Sarajevo and has invited all those who will not be able to join the pilgrimage to join in their parish and religious communities for Eucharistic celebrations, praying the rosary and personal prayer on that day or at the end of the Marian month of May for the Synod.

Bishop of the Diocese of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica, invited all parish priests and consacrated people to pray the rosary, litanies and other Marian prayers for the Synod on Saturday, May 27, 2023. On that day, Bishop Franjo Komarica will celebrate the Pentecost Vigil and Eucharist in the parish church of the Assumption of Mary in Banja Luka. The vigil program will begin at 11 a.m. with preparation for the sacrament of confession and will continue from 2:30 p.m. with testimonies and lectures. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a prayer for the Synod before the miraculous image of Mary, Mother of Good Counsel.

Bishop of Mostar-Duvno and Apostolic Administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan, Msgr. Petar Palić, on May 14, 2023, presided over the Eucharistic celebration at the Shrine of the Queen of Peace in Hrasno in the Diocese of Trebijne-Mrkan. Together with priests, religious, nuns and numerous pilgrims, he prayed for the good preparation of the Synod. Bishop Petar Palić also has invited everyone in the Dioceses of Mostar-Duvano and Trebijne-Mrkan to pray for the success of the Synod in all parishes as part of the May 31 devotions.
